21.08.2013 – Interesting conversations at the ISLC 2013
The network “International Sustainable Logistics Conference” (ISLC) consisting of specialized universities in the field of logistics, namely: “JAMK University of Applied Sciences” from Finland, “University of Huddersfield” from the UK, “HAN University University of Applied Sciences” from the Netherlands, “ISTL” from France, “University Camilo José CELA” from Spain and “SRH Hochschule für Logistik und Wirtschaft Hamm” from Germany, welcomed a new member this year, the “University of Pardubice” from Czech Republic. The aim of this network is a cross-national exchange of knowledge among the universities and partners of the economy as well as generating new approaches to sustainable logistics.
As a research partner of the “SRH Hochschule für Logistik und Wirtschaft Hamm” it was possible for XMC to make contact with the participating universities and therefore broaden the network of research. This year the ISLC took place from 09. – 12.03.2013 on a vessel departing from Barcelona to the Italian port of Civitavecchia. Offshore the participants had the opportunity to exchange innovative ideas apart from the conference topics gaining new incentives towards future developments in “green logistics”.
The next ISLC in 2014 will be aligned by the Czech “University of Pardubice” in Prague.
